Leadville starts tomorrow morning. Here’s one of my favorite Leadville videos of all time, encapsulating ultrarunning perfectly. Here’s Bryon’s live coverage, and here’s Ian Corless’ preview of the runners.

And on the opposite end of the spectrum, here’s a good preview of tonight’s Mens 5000 in Moscow. Mo, Lagat, Rupp, and a ton of East Africans. Whew!

The Beast of Burden 100 is this weekend in NY and includes lift bridges that runners have to deal with on the flat and fast course.

…meanwhile, there’s a loopy 100 miler on the West Coast and a 13 year old is running it.

A couple out hiking noticed a Mountain Lion 25′ away, staring at them. (Check out the picture). They freaked out, and the guy fell down a mountain and he’s now in the hospital.  Whatta day. h/t to @runbrave

Track Scott Jaime here on his run across Colorado.

Waldo 100k is tomorrow in Oregon. Should be a fast group of runners killing it in a fun distance. Watch it live here.

Why exercise isn’t enough.

A tribute to ultrarunning legend John DeWalt.

Registration opens today for Eastern States 100, a big loop course in Pennsylvania with over 20k’ gain. Niiice!

What are you running?
