Eight of the toughest runs in the world, and no, Barkley is not numero uno.

Check out our brand spankin new podcast with Zach Bitter.  And speaking of World Records…

…Yesterday I failed to mention that Pam Smith ran an amazing race at Desert Solstice , setting a new American and World 100 mile track record of 14:11:26. Previous American track best was Ann Trason’s 14:29 and World best was Edit Berces 14:25!

…and speaking of more records, apparently there was a Guinness record set (and broken) for a team of people running a 100k relay on a treadmill.

Here’s an ultrarunning bucket list.

Anton really seems to be getting back in shape for 2014, and hey, a piqued interest in Mt Washington Road Race?

Batman meets fatbikes meets awesomeness. NUC, but I want that.

This runner is four months in to his unsupported global circumnavigation. I wonder where he’ll be stateside…that would be a fun partner to have for a few hours.

Looking for a fast and neutral training shoe for the road? I review the Pearl Izumi Road N2 right here.

Apparently you’re supposed to mix it with water, but it looks like a beer gel to me. It’s about freakin time.

Do compression socks really work?

Good piece on sleep and running performance.
