Duchess de Bourgogne (Flanders Red Ale)
Now this is a snappy beer. Acidic, sour, bubbly, and alive, this is easily one of the most interesting–and best–beers I’ve ever had. Brewed in Belgium, it’s a very drinkable beer, and is quite low on the ABV scale at a meer 5%. Great mouthfeel, it looks and smells cola-like, and plums, vinegar, and cherries finish it off. Yeah, it’s expensive at around $13 for a 750ml, but it’s worth it. Hey look, Beer Advocate also ranks it #1 for Flanders Red Ales.
