Ken McKee

Ken Mckee, a native Californian, started running in high school to stay in shape for soccer. After high school, his focus drifted away from running to school and work. He graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in electrical engineering and Arizona State University with a master’s in business administration. After graduation, Ken moved to the Folsom area for great outdoor activities and a great job opportunity with Intel Corp.

After 10 year hiatus from running, a good friend convinced Ken to run his first marathon. Training for this marathon re-ignited Ken’s passion for running. Sense then he has run 5 marathons including Boston.  About five years ago, Ken made the leap from road running to trail running. He’s run ~11 ultra races which include American River 50 mile, Rio De Logo 100, and Angeles Crest 100 mile ultra runs.

Ken has been living in the Folsom for 18 years and works at Intel as an application engineer manager. He is married and has two very demanding cats.
