Prof Fritz Briem 1809 Berliner Weisse (Weissbier)
I’ve had this a few time now and keep coming back for more. This is such a bubbly beer it borders on champagne. At first, there’s very little aroma or flavor, but it builds as the bottle is drained. At 5.0% ABV, the alcohol is nearly undetectable, but the grapefruit and citrus flavors stand out. It pours a milky yellow and with deep breaths smells a lot like crackers. There are bitter hay and grass qualities that I like.
Hmmmm. I’ll probably keep buying this beer. I think the bottle was about 18oz and I paid $8 for it.
