Great discussion about runner/RD responsibilities at a trail race: Who’s ultimately responsible when a runner gets lost and what can be done to prevent that? My thoughts: Nothing can be done to prevent no one from getting lost.

There was a little race called Comrades this past weekend in RSA. Full results here. Max had a tough day (it’s relative, folks) with a 50th place finish. Here’s his Strava. Sage finished 15th, Ellie did great too–though not as strong as last year’s incredible finish. The LetsRun geniuses discuss the times until Sage pipes up and sets them straight.
The other big race this weekend was the IAU Trail World Champs in Annecy, France. I haven’t had a chance to go over all the results yet, but here’s IRF’s recap of the event.
Meanwhile, the USATF Trail Championships took place at Cayuga Trails 50 in NY. USL covered the race live, and here are their results. Not sure if they’re official or not.
