The funkiest event in the Olympics (but the only event that had athletes compete in xc running) just got a bit less funky: Horseback riding was removed from the Modern Pentathlon. Don’t fret, they’ll still compete in fencing, freestyle swimming, and a final combined event of pistol shooting and xc running, but the article leaves the door open for the inclusion of a replacement event….any ideas?
