So this is essentially a VK with elimination rounds? Awesome race format for the RedBull Lionheart, directed by none other than ultramarathon trail stud Ryan Sandes.  Hey domestic RDs, anyone want to start one?

Stay tuned for a new interview with 20 yo Boston phenom Patrick Caron. Definitely a fun interview with a kid ready to make a splash on a big stage.  URP Gear Guy Ben and I also discuss a few new pieces of gear that may be right for you.

I spent the better part of yesterday morning watching Big’s Backyard Ultra. Guillaume Calmetes finally won after 53.5 hours and 245 miles of running. Truly incredible performance by both of these guys. Harvey Lewis went out for a lap, turned around, and said he’d rather watch his buddy win.

Great discussion about happiness, how it’s defined, and what we can do to achieve it. From what I can tell, runners are some of the happiest people on the planet.
