Ultramarathon Daily News | Wed, July 31

G’day, my name is Majell Backhausen (@majellb), I originate from Red Hill, Victoria, Australia. I’m chiming in today to help Eric whilst he is away talking the ear off a polite European Alpen Horn maker on a random mountainside. I write this after just coming off the Seven Summits Trail in British Columbia, Canada. All I can say is… It just kept dropping trail love nuggets for 43km! So GOOD!

How did an Eco-Warrior on a mission to Save Our Home Planet make the cover of UltraRunning Magazine?

And what is her secret to running long extended climbs during a100mile race? #HavingFUN

Fancy seeing what it takes to get involved in Tour de 14er? An attempt to summit all 54 of Colorado’s 14000ft mountains in a single push. By bike and on foot, self-powered, self-supported. Alone. 1100 miles of riding, 600 miles of running and roughly 100 000 ft of climbing.

Why should RAMP play a part in your warm-up?

The Trail Camp… would you send your kids to the Tahoe Wilderness?

Fancy viewing your running like this?… “The way I approach running, it’s totally a joyous pursuit for me—which doesn’t mean that every day is happy, but I do it because I love it and I feel good when I run, and the racing is just a fraction of it”

This Guy Bagged 576 Peaks in a Single Year! But you’re an ultra runner so you could do it faster, right?

Did you get eyes on the New FKT on Mount St. Helens?

Seen enough digital mediums covering the art of running? Over the videos, photos and boomerangs? This is for YOU!

Now we all love trail dogs so there is no excuse to have a great National Mutt Day

Safe Travels and keep well!

PEACE OUT – Majell
