Bob Shebest Interview
Bob Shebest is having a pretty remarkable 12 months, and it’s setting up to only get better. He’s not a spring-chicken-living-in-his-truck type of guy…Bob is a middle school teacher who qualifies as a masters runner, but who’s won his share of hundreds and has really found his stride.
Ethan and I chat with Bob about:
- His multisport background and how that transitioned into MUT racing.
- What he likes about long, grinding races.
- His first hundred at TRT that made him think he wanted to die, while instilling in him a love for the distance that hasn’t waned.
- Methods and workouts he’s used–and coached with–to finish a hundred and feel strong.
Episode Notes:
Bob’s website is here.
He runs for Hoka One One, Vitargo, and is a member of the Inside Trail racing team.
Outro music: What You Need by INXS.
Heres the Pioneer Spirit 50 miler in August that I hope to be running.
Here’s the camp Ethan and Bob are hosting in August.
And here’s the Ken Michal interview we spoke about.
